With its wild moorland a hidden cave to seek out and the fantastic view towards Pen y Fan this is a brilliant spot to explore in the Brecon Beacons and its perhaps one of the finest places to catch both the sunrise and sunset.

And if I go a little further I can take in the challenge of Pen y Fan the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons or the wild drama of the westerly Black Mountain probably my favourite area in the national park. I am taking my two daughters away for the weekend their partners and my step son my step son is 15 but my children are adults.
